		<description>Wow.  First time I&#039;ve visited your blog, and I find this gem.  

Whether or not &quot;I&quot; like it is irrelevant, but I do, because I see it as very true.  

Our mentality is basically this - &quot;if we can just get people saved, at least they won&#039;t go to hell.&quot;  So, thus we use &quot;you don&#039;t want to go to HELL, do you?&quot; to trick people into a &quot;profession of faith&quot; even though they don&#039;t have a scrap of real belief.  Once we&#039;ve done THAT, our duty, we think, is done.  It&#039;s up to THEM to realize that they&#039;ve gotten themselves into a &quot;Christian war&quot; with no bullets.  

That&#039;s the Baptist approach I&#039;ve seen a lot, but there&#039;s the opposite approach, too, the &quot;prosperity&quot; gospel that says &quot;if you&#039;ll just get saved, your life will immediately all be GREAT.&quot;  

Both, obviously have pieces of the truth and we can&#039;t eliminate hell or peace with God from the salvation equation, but teaching &quot;evangelists&quot; that it all stops &quot;there&quot; is a terribly bad thing.</description>
